NAEMT - Call for Support of EMS Documentary. Honorable but Broken: EMS In Crisis

Read the Petition

Dear NAEMT Board -

I am writing to thank the NAEMT's leadership for being interviewed in the film project Honorable But Broken: EMS in Crisis, and to ask the board to consider their financial support this film to fund the gap and help reach their goal of $200,000.

We know EMS is relied upon to be an essential service, yet all too often not equally funded like those that are. As an prehospital provider I support this project and I have requested my organization support this worthy endeavor.

This documentary will explore the undeniable value of EMS, inherent problems with the current fractured system and solutions some states are implementing to formally embrace and fund this third arm of our 911 emergency service.

The film’s producer, Bryony Gilbey, is a former CBS News 60 Minutes and ABC News producer and mother of three EMS professionals. Co-producer, Rich Diefenbach, is a seasoned network news producer and former deputy bureau chief for CBS News Los Angeles. Ms. Gilbey was inspired to produce this film due to the knowledge she gained about the plight of EMS workers.

Funds are being managed through a non-profit, Partners for Change EIN: 88-0303288 and will be directed to this project by President & CEO Ms. Miller. Jackie@partnershipsforchange.com
